Publications
BULK Publications is the publishing arm of our creative ecosystem—a space for radical thought, artistic experimentation, and critical discourse rooted in community knowledge and collective authorship. Our publications span printed matter, digital essays, zines, toolkits, and experimental media, serving as both a platform and an archive for the work generated within and beyond the BULK network.
BULK Publications offers an alternative: slow publishing rooted in care, transparency, and dialogue. We see publishing not just as distribution, but as an act of world-building.

Upcoming Publications
This year BULK is releasing some really exciting new publications all driven by workshops and community partners. In partnership with the Ruth Ellis Center, we’re producing a zine that shares stories and resources from young trans people navigating gender-affirming care. We are publishing a collection of poetry, writing, and portraits created by mothers reflecting on afterbirth care and self-tending. We’re also developing a book of flash art by queer Detroit-based tattoo artists that highlights tattooing as a form of expression, identity, and healing.
